Gugulethu Sophie Mbatha - also known as Gugu is a British stage and film actress. Gugu gained notoriety after starring in the BBC's 'Doctor Who', a British science fiction television series. Gugu earned a significant amount of acclaim for her performance as Tish Jones, the sister of the major character Martha Jones, in the drama. Her mother was a homemaker and her father was employed as a used-car dealer. Her mother arrived in the United States in 1958, in the form of an immigrant from Germany. After 10 years of fighting breast cancer, Handler passed away in the year 1989. Handler is a Reform Jew, and her father was Jewish. Handler resided in a beautiful area with a great family. As a teenager, she moved to Los Angeles, California to take on a profession in acting. To help support herself, Handler began to work as an actress. Handler began performing stand-up as a full-time comedian when she was 21. She had discovered that she was gifted with story telling. Beginning Of career Handler started out her career as a member of the Oxygen network all-female cast for an undiscovered camera/real-life joke television series Girls Behaving Poorly. The show ran between 2002 and 2005. The host appeared on numerous shows including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show The Practice and My Wife and Kids.
